LiviLuu Atelier

What the
coconut keeps
inside.

Natural fibres. A different kind of light.
Slow fashion, from my hands in Zürich.

Livia wearing an ivory draped design with a sculptural brown waist detail
Drawn. Draped. Sewn.

A fall.A crack.A beginning.

A coconut falls from the tree.
Its rough shell opens.
Inside, something soft. Something light.

There was light
all along.

Liv comes from my name.
Luu comes from luz, light in Spanish.
What the coconut keeps inside.

Close detail of ivory fabric draping into folds at the waist
A fold. A little light.
Pencil lines of a fashion sketch beside a natural fabric swatch
Then, a line of my own.

The outside is only the beginning.

Livia in an ivory design, showing the folds and sculptural waist

A fold finds
its own way.

I follow the fabric.
Pin it. Let it fall. Begin again.

Ivory coconut flesh, brown husks and natural fibres from the coconut shoot

From a line
to something felt.

I draw. I cut. I sew.
Every step, by hand in Zürich.

A thought, on paper.
Fashion sketches of three fluid garment silhouettes
Lines before seams.

Nothing here
was made twice.

A hand feeling ivory, olive and blush fabrics

Close to nature.
Closer to skin.

I work only with natural materials.
No polyester.

It starts with what I feel
between my fingers.

I'm Livia.

I used to wear other people's designs.
Now I make my own.

From modelling to the drawing table.
From the first sketch to the last stitch,
I make everything by hand in my Zürich atelier.
